This is a wonderful opportunity for you to reconnect with your alma mater while interacting with an expansive and successful group of professional Loyola alumni living and working in the greater New York area. The guest speaker will be Loyola Trustee Jim Forbes, '80, managing director and vice chairman of UBS Group.

Forbes joined UBS in May 2012 as a managing director and vice chairman of UBS Group, Americas. Prior to joining UBS, Forbes was the head of Global Principal Investments for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, managing the bank’s equity interests in investments such as China Construction Bank, Hertz, and HCA. Forbes served in a number of leadership roles during his 18-year tenure at Merrill Lynch, including Global Head of Healthcare Investment Banking and Head of the Asia Pacific Investment Banking in Hong Kong. Forbes's transaction experience includes mergers and acquisitions, equity, convertible and high yield financings as well as private equity transactions. In the last 10 years, Forbes has been involved in raising more than $100 billion in financing as well as participating in more than $120 billion of M&A transactions, including initiating and being lead advisor to the buyout consortium in the $33 billion LBO of HCA. Forbes has represented firms and companies such as Bain, Blackstone, Community Health Systems, HCA, KKR, Lifepoint Hospitals, Quest Diagnostics, Universal Health Services, Ventas, and Wellpoint. Forbes serves on the UBS Americas Operating Committee as well as the Americas Executive Committee. Below are the event details.
