The Philadelphia Alumni Chapter Board of Directors invites
you to participate in an upcoming service event on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 1 - 3 p.m. at
Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory. Join area alumni and other volunteers to
help make this holiday season more enjoyable for those in need. This is a great
way to give back and practice the Jesuit ideal of "men and women for and
with others."
At the Giving Factory, we will be sorting and processing donated children's
items for kids in need. This may include cleaning and testing toys, inspecting
clothing for rips and stains, sorting books by age categories, or matching up
outfits for clothing packs. It's all fun, hands-on work that directly benefits
children in greater Philadelphia who are homeless and low-income. This is a great
opportunity for the whole family and we encourage children ages 6 and up to
attend with us.
We hope you are able to participate in this wonderful event and stay connected
to Loyola and fellow local alumni. Event details are below.

Cradles
to Crayons Release Waiver: Any volunteers under the age of 18 must complete

guardian and turned in prior to the start of the volunteer session.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring in new and gently used children's items to
donate (clothing, books, toys, school supplies, and baby equipment). Even one
pair of shoes or a few articles of clothing make a difference in the life of a
child in need.
Right now, certain “hard to get items” are desperately needed, including new
socks and underwear (2T – 14/16) and boys pants sizes 9/10 – 14/16. Click here for a list of our Top 10 Most-Needed items.
Safety Requirement: please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing is
recommended.
