Rev. Justin McCreedy PCPAS '86

What have you been up to since graduation?
I served as a hospital chaplain at institutions in Washington State until February 2015, when I went into Abbey administration at Saint Martin's Abbey in Lacey, Washington.

What is your fondest memory of Loyola?
My friendships, key members of the faculty, and my clients in counseling.

What is your favorite place on campus, why?
My classes were in Columbia and the quality of the facilities was much appreciated.

Who was your favorite Loyola professor or class?
Joan Cooke represented the heart of hospitality and welcome to students in the Graduate Counseling program, as did the on campus core staff. I enjoyed my field placement on the psychiatric unit of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington D.C., as well as my clients in a rural church of Harford County, Maryland that provided counseling space for our program.

How have you remained involved with Loyola since graduation?
I have remained with Loyola since graduation through the magazine and very modest donations to the University.

If you could offer a current Loyola student advice, what would it be?
Whatever you provide in contribution to all aspects of your program at Loyola will bring you the blessings and rewards that Loyola intends to offer you.
